The Promises
“He answered, ‘Have you not read that the Creator from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.””

Our Love Story
Part 1
The love story between Nico and Nadia began on December 15, 2018, although they had been at the same campus, UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, for a long time. Nico studied Mining Engineering, while Nadia studied Environmental Engineering. Despite being in the same faculty, they never knew each other during their time at university.
Part 2
On November 22, 2018, Nico prayed at Goa Maria Sendang Sriningsih, asking God for a partner who was Catholic. In his prayer, Nico promised that if God granted his wish, he would marry that person. The very next day, November 23, 2018, Nadia broke up with her boyfriend. It seemed like destiny was calling, and from that moment, Nico and Nadia began to get to know each other more closely and developed a friendship. One day, Nadia invited Nico to go to Bali. “Temanin aku ke Bali yuk!” said Nadia. Nico replied, “Yasudah, ayo ke Bali. Kita ketemuan di sana, aku dari Jogja, kamu dari Jakarta.” However, Nadia responded, “Enggak! Aku maunya kita bareng-bareng dari Bandara di Jakarta.” Nico agreed, “Yasudah, nanti kita bertemu di bandara, terus kita berangkat ke Bali.” Although they have never really gone to Bali, Nadia’s words became a symbol of the seriousness of their relationship.
Part 3
As time went on, their relationship grew stronger. They both continued their master’s degrees at UGM and started various businesses together, from a clothing business to selling food like pempek and mie ayam Naija, and even running a sheep farm called Naija Farm. Even though they had been dating for 6 years, much of that time was spent in a long-distance relationship (LDR), especially because Nico worked in Morowali, and the COVID-19 pandemic further prolonged the physical distance between them. Yet, despite the distance, their love continued to grow.
Part 4
Now, on December 15, 2024, Nico and Nadia are ready to take the next step into marriage, proving that their love, built on prayer, trust, and sincerity, has endured. Their love, which began with a prayer and continued through a journey full of memories and challenges, is now ready to enter a new chapter full of hope, happiness, and lifelong commitment.”
